What’s the Buzz: An Insect and Arachnid Inspired Art Exhibition

Step into the small-scale world of insects and arachnids through a larger-than-life artistic lens. What’s the Buzz is a dimensional art exhibition celebrating the beauty, mystery, movement, and intricacy of the creatures that crawl, fly, spin, pollinate, and quietly shape the world around us.

Featuring dimensional artwork inspired by bees, butterflies, beetles, spiders, moths, and other fascinating forms of life, this exhibition invites viewers to look closer at the textures, patterns, structures, and symbolism found in nature’s tiniest architects. Through layered materials, sculptural elements, and imaginative interpretation, the work transforms familiar creatures into bold, tactile, and thought-provoking art.

Both whimsical and wonder-filled, What’s the Buzz encourages curiosity, appreciation, and a renewed sense of connection to the natural world.

Virtual Exhibition

Marty Huehner displayed four works in the December 2020 Ohio Art League Annual Thumb Box Exhibition, presented virtually.

This exhibition entry documents Huehner’s participation in a statewide arts organization’s annual exhibition during a period when many gallery presentations moved online. Coral Reef Triptych was entered in the Spring 2020 Annual May Show at Mansfield Art Center in Mansfield, Ohio.
